My story:

At a young age, a horrifying rash covered my body accompanied with fractures and repeated joint reconstructive surgeries. The doctors were puzzled. The anaphylactic allergic reactions that started further added confusion to my medical team. Despite doctors’ best efforts, no one could offer solutions to my ailments. I began nursing school and experienced worsening anxiety, brain fog, severe joint pain, exhaustion, and weight gain. It wasn’t until roughly 2015 that I began desperately searching for answers. I was sick and tired of feeling trapped and betrayed by my body and was determined to restore my health. I fought tooth and nail with the typical medical system for anyone to take me seriously. I eventually received a diagnosis of Type 2 Refractory Celiac Disease and was told to never expect to be able to have a child of my own, and to brace myself for the possibility of stomach cancer down the road. I was given one meeting with a nutritionist who was not clear herself on how to properly manage Celiac Disease.

As a nurse I knew this was all wrong. I set out on my own, with the support of my husband and family to get healthy, despite the traditional medical system which I felt had failed me thus far.

In 2017, I embarked on my personal journey with food. For the first time, I learned in depth about my body’s capabilities and strength. I lost 60 pounds from following the Wahls Protocol, my joint pain disappeared, I no longer napped the evenings away, and I felt clear-headed. My intestines healed indicating I was properly managing my Celiac disease. This excited me so much that I flew to Iowa to meet Dr. Terry Wahls herself, and to become one of her certified health practitioners. Further, I enrolled in the University of the West’s Masters Degree Program in Functional Medicine and Human Nutrition. Additionally, I am proud to say I am a mother to two young children who further fuel my passion for what I do and inspired my business name, Jackerbee Health.

I am proud of my own health recovery. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and helping you regain your health. Let’s work together to uncover your potential. I want you feel your best.
