So, what is brain fog?

Sometimes referred to as mental fatigue, brain fog is a “psychobiological state characterized by subjective feelings of ‘tiredness’ and ‘lack of energy’ ” (Marcora, Staiano, and Manning, 2009). Most, if not all of my clients complain of severe brain fog, forgetfulness, and difficulty with memory. Brain fog often goes hand in hand with multiple sclerosis as well as many other autoimmunity disorders and diseases. It is a symptom that doesn’t have an easy fix.

The good news is that mental clarity and fatigue are typically amongst the first symptoms to improve when following this protocol. We know that vitamins and minerals are a crucial aspect of any diet as they are partially responsible for enabling the pathways that support cellular function. In order for our cells to perform optimally, we need to ensure we are getting all the vital nutrient-dense foods, vitamins, and minerals necessary to fuel our bodies at the cellular level.

The Wahls Protocol and Brain Fog Healing

At Jackerbee Health, I help my clients understand how to nourish their bodies in a way that promotes ultimate cellular function. I support my clients in their journeys to heal themselves through food and lifestyle. I teach my clients how to source the required nutrients in order to combat the brain fog that has plagued many of them for so many years. The Wahls Protocol can help end chronic brain fog, once and for all.

Brain fog may look different person to person— For me it was as if I was trudging through a thick, weighted cloud all of the time. It was as if I had partial headphones on and black-out curtains dampening what was around me. It didn’t matter if I had slept for six hours or for twelve, or if I had four cups of coffee or none. I could not get my brain to absorb enough and function in the way I desperately needed.
